Wallington

LifeTime

LifeTime is the weekly evening service of St Patrick's Church in Wallington. It's an informal service, with a mixture of creative Biblical teaching, contemporary sung worship, prayer, and time to meet friends and encourage each other.

Where and when does it happen?

The LifeTime Cafe kicks off at 6:30pm every Sunday, with coffee, cake, and good company - then the service itself runs from 7:00-8:00pm. We meet in the church, with the chairs arranged around tables.

Service styles

The service usually follows a particular theme or passage each month.

  • The first service each month has a musical, celebration flavour, and usually introduces a theme (a topic, or part of the Bible) which we'll be looking at over the coming weeks.
  • The next few services focus on thinking about that theme in more depth, with a creative mixture of teaching styles including discussion and small group Bible study as well as talks, plus sung worship and prayer.
  • Each month finishes with a different event: they vary in style (sometimes it's a planned church family event, like the October Rainbow Party which is intended for children), but the aim is to provide a very friendly, low-pressure, and cringe-free place to meet people in the church and find out something about Jesus.

Who are the leaders?

LifeTime is planned by a small group consisting of Dave Atkinson (who chairs the team), Frankie Smith, David Widdowson, Patsy and Andrew Winkley, Lorna Stanley, Richard Springate, Helen Machell, and Mark and Sarah White. We're grateful to several other people who've served on the team since LifeTime started in 2006, too. Many others in the church are involved in running aspects of the services.

Please contact Dave Atkinson for more information about the service.
